![]() ![]() This is the direction Serato want you to go, and it really looks like all of us will be forced to go at some point whether that's now or whenever our Rane/Denon boxes kick the dirt. Unfortunately the price of these boxes on the 2nd hand market is very expensive.ģ) Buy a mixer with a Serato soundcard built in. The Denon DS-1 is supported by the M1 Macbooks and by the looks of things should be good to go for years to come. None of the Rane boxes are supported by the newer Macbooks (M1 chip) due to the hardware being redundant, but do currently work with lots of similarly spec'd windows laptops. Unfortunately no new boxes are being produced which means you'd need to pick one up 2nd hand. If you want to continue using Serato you have 3 options really as far as I can see it.ġ) Continue using your SL2 with whatever versions of Serato support it.Ģ) Buy a newer box, which will be supported by newer versions of serato.
